What Does “Other Snapchatters” Mean? ( All You Need To Know 2022)

  • by

Snapchat has come quite far since it was first released in 2011, and now boasts over 187 million daily active users with over 25 billion video views per day. Given the continued rapid growth of this social media platform, it’s not hard to imagine that some new features or options may be added soon. With that said, I’ve compiled what I believe are four likely Snapchat feature updates you may see in the near future based on previous additions and updates to Snapchat’s interface and design.

What Does “Other Snapchatters” Mean on Snapchat?

The Other Snapchatters feature on Snapchat shows you a list of people in your area who are actively using Snapchat. The term other Snapchatters refers to people that you have previously added as friends or users that you have recently interacted with by sending them snaps or chatting with them on the platform .

This is different from seeing recent friend requests and add requests, which generally means someone else wants to add you as a friend on their account. If you have the latest version of the app, then you will see a number that appears at the top of your Stories – The bottom of your snaps – and below every other type of content like ads or stories from publishers.

How Do You Put Your Snapchat Story On Private?

When you open Snapchat and swipe down, there should be a menu button with three dots at least. You can tap on that to go to your settings page. Scroll down until you see Story Settings and tap on it. You’ll have 3 options: Public Story, My Friends’ Stories, and Private Story. If you have your Snapchat set up as My Friends’ Stories, only friends will be able to view your story for 24 hours unless they screenshot it or rewatch it after watching. Your story will disappear from their inboxes once it’s gone from their friends list.

How to Prevent “Other Snapchatters”?

Snapchat’s Other Snapchatters is not a new feature, but it’s one that some users might still be unfamiliar with. It’s there to help you to prevent strangers from sending you messages without friending you first. The Other Snapchatters option lets you add friends of friends on Snapchat, so that they can message you without being friends first.

For example, if your best friend adds me on Snapchat and I add her back, then I can send her a message on my own because we’re both Other Snapchatters to each other. There are several ways you can prevent people you don’t want to see your Snaps from doing so. By being strategic about who sees your snaps and how long those people have access to them, you can make sure that only those who should be viewing your Snaps are able to.

Why does it say “Other Snapchatters” but you’re still friends?

The Other Snapchatters and Friends lists are two separate features that help you view different parts of your Snapchat. The friends list is for people who have added you as a friend on Snapchat, while Other Snapchatters is for other users who are also on Snapchat but haven’t added you yet. The reason why it says Other Snapchatters even if you are already friends with them is because it takes a few days to update after you add someone new to your friends list. If it still hasn’t changed, then try adding and removing them from your friends list again to force-update their profile.

Does Other Snapchatters Mean Blocked?

It is a common misconception that ‘other snapchatters’ refers to your contacts or people on your friend list. This is false! This section of people are strangers you might be following, celebrities and other public figures you might be interested in, accounts from around your area, as well as people who have sent you snaps. Basically it means anyone who has previously interacted with you on snapchat; unless they blocked you because you were super creepy. Pretty simple eh?

Why Can’t I Click on the “Other Snapchatters” Profile?

Snapchat has actually been working on a new update, which would allow users to see the Other Snapchatters list. The Other Snapchatters list is the list of people that you’re not friends with on Snapchat. By clicking on the name of these users, you can view their profile, and at some point in the future send them a friend request. If they accept your friend request, then you will become friends on Snapchat. This feature can be very useful for businesses who want to acquire more followers, or even just have an audience.

Can You Block Them From Viewing Your Own Story?

The short answer is, no. If you don’t want your story being viewed by anyone else but yourself and select friends, then keep in mind that when your account is set to public, other users will be able to watch anything that you post on a live story. However, while they can view it on their own stories later, they cannot access it while it’s being posted.

And yes, you can block certain users from watching your stories. To do so: simply follow them and then go into their profile from within your own app to access their list of friends. From there click on People You Follow, which brings up all of those who are following you back. You can report those users as a spammer and have their access removed, Or you can hide all your followers on Instagram—which is what we recommend doing in order to protect yourself from stalkers and creepers.

How To Delete “Other Snapchatters”?

Snapchat app allows you to delete Other Snapchatters on Snapchat. The ability to delete Snapchatters gives you peace of mind that no one can search for you on Snapchat and people can’t find your username or add you, so everyone else can’t see you.

Here is how: Delete Other Snapchatters from Settings or Options To delete Other Snapchatters from Settings or Options go to your profile, tap Send and Receive Snaps, tap options and then tap Add by Username.

Then all the other users names will appear in a list. After adding someone, they appear on your other user’s list which you can delete anytime by tapping their name and tapping remove. If it’s just a random person that’s been added, you can report them as inappropriate content or activity.

Snaps are received, not sent. If a friend sees your snap and opens it, they may send you a text or photo reply that is sent as text under your snaps. However, if they do not open your snap and you want them to see it, you will have to select Send Snap, which sends it on behalf of yourself to everyone in your friends list who is currently online.

This means that other users can choose whether or not they want to see what you post. Although no one can view who exactly views their snaps unless they decide to change their privacy settings in their Settings menu, most people will send another snap only if someone has viewed theirs previously; otherwise, their snaps simply disappear without anyone seeing them in Other Snapchatters.
